Inspired play tonight ladies, you did an amazing job of getting your energy up for the match, especially against a school we don't typically have a 'rivalry' with....maybe that was the beginning of one?
Regardless, that means we will be defending our FV title from last year this coming Monday at the LEC at 8pm (be there at 7pm).
I suspect the AAA girls final will be playing next to us, much like last year. The boys finals will probably precede ours.
If you care to make a whole evening of it, the AAAA girls 3rd/4th game is at 4pm. Here is a link to the draw, it will be updated after the games at Heritage Woods tomorrow.
Looking further ahead, our win guarantees us a spot at Provincials in Penticton this year. Here are the details thus far:
We need to be in Penticton Wednesday evening, so I'd like to leave after second block, around 11:30. Obviously, we will need some parents to drive, so please ask them nicely. You will miss school Thursday and Friday.
We will be staying at the Lakeside Resort, 2 players to a room. It's a little more expensive than 4 to a room, but you'll need your sleep over the 3 days. Bryan Shirley has set aside 12 rooms under a South Delta Team group code. Parents who intend to stay should mention this to get the group rate of $75/night.
As all teams need to stay for the final match, late Saturday, we will not be coming home until Sunday morning. So plan on staying for 4 nights total.
We can discuss costs, driving, etc next week. Here is the link to Provincials.
Next Week:
Monday - FV final at LEC, be there at 7pm.
Tuesday - Rest
Wednesday - Delta Cup at Seaquam, only 2 games, starting at 4:45 and 7:15. Be at Seaquam at 4:15.
Thursday - Rest; but if some of you would like to help out with Jnr Provincials at SDSS, that would be nice. We need some Down refs, scorekeepers, etc. You will be compensated.
Friday - No school. Jnr. Provincials continue at SDSS.
Saturday - Jnr. Provincials conclude at SDSS.
