Hi Everyone,
Great job at Riverside today! A couple ups and downs but nice strong finish and some great team chemistry developing.
Some updates:
The AAAA schedule is in the works. It should be completed by next week. I can confirm now that we will be playing on Monday and Wednesday evenings again. Game times will be 6pm or 7:30pm, best of 5. This means practices will be Tuesdays and Thursdays. My preference is either 3:00 or 5:00, but never later than that. Please plan your lives accordingly. Also interesting, several teams in our neck of the woods have either dropped to AAA (DSS) or Tier 2 (Semiahmoo). This means there were not enough teams to form a separate division, so we are now in a division of 10, all south of the Fraser. What this means? We only play every team once, we travel further, and our league is more diverse. I feel this is a good thing (well, maybe not the travel part). Finally, our league starts WEDNESDAY!....but we got a bye. This means we WILL be playing the Monday night after we return from Vegas.
Vegas. Please get those waiver forms to me this week and any outstanding money. Also, details of insurance (ie. any phone numbers I need to call), would be appreciated. Please plan on checking one bag and bringing a personal item (bag; one that fits under the seat). If you bring a carry on that is not a problem on the way down, but Allegiant will charge you on the way back. WHAT YOU MUST PACK: volleyball gear, another pair of runners for walking the strip and hiking in the foothills, passport or suitable ID for crossing the border, some money and/or bank card. PACK LIGHT: besides your vball gear, bring a couple bathing suits for the pool, and clothes for a couple more days. Don't bring a new outfit for everyday, you won't wear it all, especially if you do some shopping on day 1 or 2. When we go to a dinner and show, smart casual is fine, nothing too formal.
Practice is after school Tuesday.
See you then!
