Hi all,
2 things:
Hawaii
Airplane seats are booked, vans rented, rooms reserved (Waikiki Banyan). The only thing left for me to do is sort out our games. This will happen later on as most coaches need to get their schedules before they can make a commitment. I'm hoping to schedule 4 exhibition matches for the week. I'm going to set the cost for the Hawaii trip at $1500 per player. This is higher than the 'cost' right now, but it gives me some wiggle rooms for things like team dinners, the exchange rate, activities (like surf lessons or luaus), etc. If we come in under this amount, I'll put it towards your athletic fees next season. So, towards this end, I'd like one more payment of $500 by May 30 please. I will take the remaining $500 from your earned totals over the past years, as well as money earned reffing and coaching next year. Some of you have already made close to this amount, others will have their work cut out for them next season. I believe the amounts earned are posted further down this blog. As always, if the May 30 payment is prohibitive, please come speak with me.
Next Season
I've completed a preview calendar for next season. Tournaments are on there, league games and practices are not....this will depend on whether we end up in AAA or AAAA. As you can see, September and October weekends are very busy, October will also fill up with league games. As usual, if you are a player on this team, I expect a reffing contribution out of you for our tournaments. Our one road trip will be to the Camosun tournament again.
Please PRINT it and keep it handy for reference, I'll update it next season when I get a league and practice schedule.
We will have a meeting in June, with parents, for waiver signing, etc as August is always a little tricky. We'll try and practice once or twice in August, the week of the 25, to shake the cobwebs off.
Cheers,
B.
